Ariana Posts Moving Tribute To Mac Miller
Singer Ariana Grande has posted an emotional tribute on social media about her former boyfriend, Mac Miller's death.
In her first public statement since he died of a suspected overdose last week, Grande described him as her "dearest friend" and the "kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved," report the BBC and CNN.
I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will," Grande, 25, wrote on Instagram. "I can't believe you aren't here anymore. I really can't wrap my head around it."
In the caption of a video on Instagram, she wrote she was "so sorry" she hadn't been able to fix or take his pain away.
Miller, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, was candid about his drug abuse.
He was found dead at his home in California. The official cause of death has not yet been announced.
The video Grande posted on Friday shows the couple laughing together as he asks her to stop filming him when he becomes aware that he is being filmed .
"Baby, stop," he says, putting his hand in front of her camera and then covering his face with the hood of his sweatshirt while laughing.
"It makes me happy," she says.
